​PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

      

         2014-present       English Assistant Language Teacher, Tatebayashi, Japan

                                           I help the homeroom teachers plan and conduct lessons in English and work to foster a positive relationship between students and the language.

                                           I also help the students become accustomed to and comfortable with communicating and interacting with foreigners.

                                           I primarily work with students ages 5 - 12.

         2008-2013           Freelance Photographer, Overland Park, KS

                                           Senior portraits, family portraits, and wedding photography.

                                           I work closely with clients to provide personal, unique images.



         2010-2013             Resident Assistant, Kansas City Art Institute, KCMO.

                                           Acting as a mentor, advisor, friend, first responder, and role model to residents.

                                           Supporting residents in their transition to college life.

                                           Displaying good time management skills, good judgment, ability to work under pressure, and problem-solving skills.

                                           Preparing and teaching multiple weeklong summer classes covering basic art skills, music, photography, and Photoshop.

                                           Working with students ages 6-14.
