Simulacrum (2012)

Told in a progression of stills and cinemagraphs that evolve into full movement, Simulacrum tells the story of a woman who wakes up in a cloning facility with no memory of her past. Confused and afraid, she learns that she is part of a cloning program that has been underway for eighty years, essentially keeping the subjects in the program alive well beyond their time through replication. However, a fluke in the process leaves her devoid of memories, and she is forced to relearn a life--and a love--that she does not remember. As events turn and her life becomes endangered by a man intent on destroying the seemingly immortal clones, she begins to realize that she does not have to fit the mold that has been prescribed to her, and sees this time of turmoil as a chance to escape.
